Determining the top 10 most successful businesses can vary based on different criteria such as revenue, market capitalization, brand value, innovation, and societal impact.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, here are ten companies that were widely considered successful across various metrics:  Apple

Inc.: Known for its iconic hardware products like the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and services like the App Store, Apple consistently ranked among the most valuable and innovative companies globally. 

Amazon: Renowned for its dominance in e-commerce, cloud computing services through Amazon Web Services (AWS), and expansions into various industries, making its founder Jeff Bezos one of the wealthiest individuals. 

Microsoft Corporation: A technology giant excelling in software development (Windows, Office suite) and cloud services (Azure), consistently maintaining its influence in business and consumer markets.  Alphabet Inc.

(Google): The parent company of Google, dominating the online search engine market and venturing into other tech areas like artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, and more.
